Who We Are…

Caitlyn Schrader and kt williams join forces under the moniker DanSeries Collective.

They traverse creative disciplines through immersive platforms.

They believe in working with, in, and for their community.

Together they are attracted to challenging modes of dance traditions.

Dance Discography

DSC makes dance in the form of public performances, installations, and events that are typically presented as a series, placed in public locations, and many times (but not always) involve Doc Martens.

Disco Tailgate Series

(2024)

Disco Tailgate Series Pop Up One, Two, Three, Four

The Disco Tailgate Series emerges from a shared interest in spectacle, virtuosity, absurdity, disco, communal joy, and socially-engaged performance practices. Inspired by an American tradition of “gathering” (aka: tailgating), DSC finds ways to celebrate the mundane, infra-ordinary, everyday moments that usually go unnoticed. (We see you Georges Perec, 1973). In this series, by toying with absurdity and spectacle through a tailgating and disco lens, DSC will slowly reveal the pure delight of community coming together that often occurs in common, and sometimes most obvious places one would least expect.

While Caitlyn and kt are currently based in two different geographic locations (NC + IL), the Disco Tailgate Series allows them to perform, experience joy, and “gather” alone, together.
